Virginia Tech students are currently on spring break. That means it’s the calm before the storm for the football program.

The team has been working out in its winter strength and conditioning program (which Brent Pry calls Phase 1). After spring break, the Hokies will endure a tough conditioning week to get them prepared for spring practice, which begins on Friday, March 15*.

*I originally thought it was going to begin on Saturday, March 16, but Tech sent out a media schedule this week and they list Friday, March 15 as an open practice opportunity.

There’s not a lot to say about football until practice begins. We’ll get a media session with Pry, Tyler Bowen and Chris Marve next Tuesday, but considering that we just interviewed those guys (with the exception of Marve) a few weeks ago, I doubt anything of substance will come out.
