Three Takeaways From No. 12 Hokies’ Win At No. 18 Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The No. 12 Hokies continued to roll on Sunday in their 86-70 victory at No. 18 Louisville, in which they shot 71 percent through three quarters and Elizabeth Kitley and Georgia Amoore combined for 49 points.

Virginia Tech moved up three spots to No. 15 in the NET and should move into the top 10 of the AP Poll on Monday afternoon. The next bracketology from ESPN’s Charlie Crème will come Tuesday morning.

Here are three takeaways from Tech’s 22nd win of the season and what it means going forward:

1. In my opinion, Elizabeth Kitley has already clinched her third straight ACC Player of the Year award.

Others around the Atlantic Coast Conference may not see it that way, and people like change. They get tired of seeing the same players and teams dominate over and over, and that goes for any sport.
