After weeknight wins in Cassell Coliseum, Hokies men’s and women’s basketball both have ranked road tests on Saturday and Sunday at No. 7 North Carolina and No. 18 Louisville, respectively.

Mike Young and Virginia Tech are 14-10 (6-7 ACC) after an 83-75 victory vs. Florida State on Tuesday, which snapped a three-game skid. They’ll face the league-leading Tar Heels (19-6, 11-3) at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday on the ACC Network in the Dean E. Smith Center (21,750). Wes Durham and Dan Bonner have the call.

Meanwhile, Kenny Brooks and the Hokies (21-4, 12-2) maintained their place atop the conference with a gritty 61-56 win over Duke on Thursday. They’ve won eight consecutive games since losing in Durham over five weeks ago on Jan. 18. They travel to the Bluegrass State on Sunday to clash with Louisville (21-5, 10-3), which is tied with NC State for third in the league standings. It’s a 2 p.m. ET game in the KFC Yum! Center (22,090) on ESPN with Courtney Lyle and Debbie Antonelli on the call.

Here’s a brief preview of both games:
