On his unofficial visit to Virginia Tech on Jan. 29, Glen Allen (Va.) class of 2025 defensive back Kamden Tiller got a bit of extra time with the Hokies’ coaches.

Tiller and a handful of other recruits visited Virginia Tech ahead of the men’s basketball team’s game that night against Duke. The coaches and football guests got a bit of time that afternoon, prior to the game, to spend time in Cassell Coliseum. And for Tiller, it was a chance to feel out the Hokies on a more personal level.

Tiller has four scholarship offers, from Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Old Dominion and East Carolina. He also visited West Virginia last month and has a pair of visits planned next month for spring practice. For now, Tiller isn’t ready to make any cuts to the schools under consideration, but visits like the one he had with the Hokies provide a bit more context.
