There’s a pair of junior day visits set and more to come, but Maury (Va.) four-star defensive end Ari Watford has already made a move with a top six that he hopes will narrow his focus a bit.

On Jan. 8, Watford named a top group of Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Ohio State, Penn State, Clemson and Syracuse. He’s also eyeing at least a timeframe in which he’d like to make a decision, but no specific date. For now, Watford said he’s gathering as much intel he can on those involved, while he’s cracked the door for other possible college football programs.

“For me, it’s figuring out which school I ultimately want to end up at,” he said. “I look forward to closing up and committing soon. I’ll use this time wisely and get there.”
