No. 11 Virginia Tech women’s basketball won its eighth consecutive game on Thursday night against Miami, 76-52.
The Hokies (13-2, 4-0 ACC) moved up one spot in the NET rankings to No. 13 on Friday morning as a result. They’re the third-highest ranked ACC team behind NC State (No. 9) and Notre Dame (No. 11).
Here are three takeaways the day after Tech’s win:
1. Amazingly, Elizabeth Kitley isn’t being talked about enough.
In her last three games for Virginia Tech against Wake Forest, then-No. 3 NC State and Miami, Kitley has tallied 85 points on 33-of-58 shooting (57%) with 35 rebounds and six blocks. She’s averaging 28 and 12 in that span. Yet, it’s become so normal that no one bats an eye.
