It’s a bit of a holding pattern right now for Kings Fork (Va.) 2025 running back JaVon Ford. Yes, he has 10 scholarship offers he’s received, but with the transfer portal in full swing, he’s not sure about a few of them.

Ford said he’s remaining patient for the next few weeks as remaining players in the portal transfer. That will either close, or leave open, some position vacancies that will determine whether there’s a need for Ford or other players. Even so, he hopes to move forward with his recruitment.

“I haven’t really decided on any schools yet,” Ford said. “I just want to evaluate everyone after the portal closes. I know that’s kind of stopping everything, too. I’m blessed for any opportunity a coach gives me at this point.”
