Long Road Ahead For Virginia Tech Basketball

No. 13 Virginia Tech women’s basketball is on the road Thursday at Wake Forest (6 p.m. ET, ACCNX).

While it’s a league game, the Hokies (10-2, 1-0 ACC) are competing on a different level as of late. Their respective NET ratings speak for themselves: Tech at No. 13, Wake at No. 140, the latter of which ranks second to last in the ACC ahead of Pitt (No. 192), who Tech waxed by 50 on Sunday.

For Kenny Brooks & Co., the long road ahead only becomes more difficult the further they get into ACC play. Look no further than Sunday when No. 3 NC State ventures to Cassell Coliseum for a noon tip on the ACC Network.

The same can be said for Hokies men’s basketball, which sits at 9-4 (1-1 ACC) and is back in action on Saturday at Florida State (4 p.m. ET, ACC Network) after a week off following their 86-63 defeat at Wake Forest.
