Though he now counts eight scholarship offers to his credit, including Washington State, Kentucky and Duke, there are three stand outs. Kings Fork (Va.) class of 2025 defensive tackle Shimyael Holt has conceded those three, but he’s not ready to go further just yet.

“It’s kind of sinking in,” he said. “I don’t know where I want to go right now because there is more to come, but if I were to choose, it would most likely be between Virginia Tech, ODU and JMU. I’m not rushing anything, though.”

Holt saw all three of those schools, as well as NC State, for gamedays over the last few weeks of the season. Those trips provided a bit of clarity.
