Three Takeaways From Virginia Tech Women’s Basketball Practice

Virginia Tech women’s basketball opened practice to the media on Friday afternoon. Here are three observations from session, which lasted two-plus hours:

1. This team has the talent. Putting the pieces together is the challenge.

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a Virginia Tech basketball team have this much depth. I’ll paint you a picture.

The Hokies have 12 players on their roster this season, and though only three of them — Georgia Amoore, Cayla King and Elizabeth Kitley — have played in maroon and orange, it’s an extremely talented bunch. My biggest takeaway from practice was that Tech has 11 potential players that could contribute this season.
