A gleeful Brent Pry bounded into his post-game news conference for the Hokies Thursday night with a spring in his step, and you can hardly blame him. 

Pry’s usually pretty upbeat — it’s his calling card — but the Virginia Tech coach was particularly boisterous after a good ol’-fashioned 38-10 butt-kicking of Syracuse in a total team effort at Lane Stadium.

He directed that enthusiasm with his first words to the media, imploring the group in his Southern drawl to “SMIIIILE a little bit more,” punctuating the thought with a down-home, “GOD DANG!”

Pry might as well have been talking to the Hokies faithful.
