Every year, the ACC media votes on preseason awards for men’s basketball, from the all-conference team and preseason player of the year to rookie of the year and predicted order of finish.
This season, the voting for the preseason awards is different. Instead of allowing all credentialed media at Tuesday and Wednesday’s ACC Tipoff in Charlotte to vote, it’s now the same group that votes for postseason All-ACC awards. All 15 schools have three voters each on the panel for the preseason and postseason ballots.
I’m honored to be one of the three Virginia Tech representatives on the panel, along with the Roanoke Times’ Mark Berman and the Richmond Times-Dispatch’s David Teel. Here’s how I plan on voting next week in Charlotte:
