I know you’re here to read about the Hokies, but I just have to slip this in here:

If you’ve been reading my stuff for a while, you know that I love remarkable statistics, and that is one seriously remarkable set of statistics. The amazing thing is that Miami was on the Denver 27-yard line and took a knee to end the game. It could have set the NFL scoring record … but did not. Fins coach Mike McDaniel gave a somewhat rambling response when asked about it, so I’m not sure he knew the record was theirs for the taking, haha.

The contrast between that graphic and what’s going on with Virginia Tech’s offense is, to put it mildly, stark. See? I quickly brought it back around to the Hokies.
