Virginia Tech’s long history with brothers playing for the Hokies is hardly a secret. The Fullers (Vincent, Corey, Kyle and Kendall), the Hopkins (Antoine and Derrick) and the Edmunds (Trey, Terrell and Tremaine) are just a few in that succession.

Battlefield (Va.) 2025 three-star defensive back Cole Woodson said he’s also plenty aware of Virginia Tech’s tradition of brothers. His own brother, freshman star linebacker Caleb Woodson, signed with the Hokies in the 2023 class.

From his experience seeing Caleb’s recruiting process, Cole has taken notes for his own. So far, Virginia Tech has been the lone school to offer, but Duke and Old Dominion are among those fervently in touch. While it’s much too early for a decision, Cole said he likes where his early recruitment is.
