This week’s Ask a Back Judge comes from the main man himself: TSL’s Will Stewart, who kicked off a rather interesting discussion with a post on the Subscribers Board over the weekend.
The Play: 4th and 12 from the Tech 46, VT trails 28-16 and is driving with just under seven minutes in regulation to make it a one-score game. Drones airs a deep ball down the far sideline to Da’Quan Felton, who goes up over CB Eric Rogers (#0) to make the catch. As he drifts out of bounds, Scarlet Knights safety Flip Dixon (#10) comes in and lays a big hit on Felton, and the pass is ruled incomplete for a turnover on downs.
