PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Another Power 5 game, another loss for the Hokies.

Rutgers pulled away for a 35-16 win on Saturday in a game that had few silver linings, a result that’s starting to feel a bit too typical for Virginia Tech.

In their last 11 games against Power 5 teams, dating back to the disaster that was the 2021 Pinstripe Bowl, the Hokies are 1-10. In that same time frame, only Northwestern (1-11) and Virginia (1-9) have been as dreadful.
