James Carrington’s Recruitment Just Getting Started

James Carrington
DT, Class of 2026
Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School, Rabun Gap, GA
6-2, 270

The move in not only schools, but homes, has been a challenge. But 2026 defensive tackle James Carrington has embraced all of the newness.

Originally from the Tidewater area of Virginia, Carrington played last season at Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances. Just a few weeks ago, however, he transferred to Rabun Gap Nacoochee (Ga.), a move he hopes will pay dividends on and off the field with his development.

“It’s different,” Carrington said of the move. “A lot more work. I’m just still adjusting. The main reason why I left was because I wasn’t getting enough playing time as I thought I should to develop. Here, it’s a better situation for me and Rabun Gap can really push me to become a good football player.”
