A quarterback decision is coming soon, Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry hopes, sometime in the next three or four days.
Pry, who spoke with the media after Friday’s practice, plans to meet with coaches on both sides of the ball after this weekend’s scrimmage to discuss what direction the Hokies will go at quarterback, starting either incumbent Grant Wells or transfer Kyron Drones.
“[Saturday] will be a big test,” Pry said. “That’ll be a lot of snaps for both those guys. It’s obviously something that everybody is looking at closely each day. And both guys, to be honest, the last two days, have done some good things.”
The Hokies have split reps between the two this month, having Wells run with the first team on one day and Drones with the ones the next.
