With Chris Coleman is out of town, I’m taking over The First Bank & Trust Friday Q&A this week. Let’s talk about some Virginia Tech championships, quarterbacks and more.

1) If you had your choice to write a book on one team in the history of Virginia Tech athletics, which one would it be and why would you write that book? — RichlandsHokies_66

David Cunningham: This was my favorite question I received this week, and I decided to start with it. There are so many good options.

I will date myself here, so keep that in mind. I’m 24, so I didn’t have the experience of witnessing the 1993 Independence Bowl, the 1995 Sugar Bowl, the 1995 NIT championship or other historic events in Virginia Tech athletics history. I was born in June 1999 to two Tech graduates, as many of you probably know, and my first experience with the Hokies was 62-0 blowout of Syracuse in Lane Stadium that fall. And I was in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl in January. What nice parents, giving me those experiences before the age of 1!
