Virginia Tech is set to host official visitors beginning this weekend. 247’s No. 1 prospect in Virginia — Chris Cole of Salem — took an unofficial visit to Blacksburg on Tuesday, but his official visit date has yet to be set in stone. However, many other top targets will begin taking their officials to Tech on Friday, which includes a few transfer portal players who Brent Pry hopes will help him fill out the 2023 roster.

As far as I could find, eight players will make official visits to Virginia Tech either this weekend or early next week. Here’s a quick look at each player. Note that this list could grow or diminish by the time the weekend rolls around, but this article represents what is scheduled to the best of our knowledge, as of Wednesday, May 31.

Virginia Tech’s Transfer Portal Targets

Virginia Tech currently sits at 83 scholarship players, and Brent Pry hopes to get up to the maximum of 85 by the time practice begins in August. Primary targets are an offensive lineman and a defensive back, and the Hokies are bringing in one player at each position for official visits this weekend.
