It’s been four years, or a standard recruiting cycle in non-COVID times, and I wanted to take a look at where Virginia Tech is as a program from where it started four years ago.

What did Mike Young do well when building up the Hokies’ program after taking over in 2019? What could’ve been better? We’ll also examine what the recent personnel additions mean when determining Young’s preferences.

In Part II, we’ll look at what 2023-24 might look like given the context of the last four seasons.
