Virginia Tech picked up two big commitments on Tuesday — one for football and one for men’s basketball.
I was getting the battery in my car changed when Emmett Laws committed to the football program on Tuesday. Later in the day, I was at the gym when Northwestern transfer Robbie Beran (pronounced like you would pronounce the Red Baron) said “yes” to Mike Young’s basketball program. It happens a lot; commitments come in when I’m not around to work. I’m going on vacation from May 1 through May 16, so just imagine the number of commitments the Hokies will get during that time frame!
Today, I want to talk about those two commitments and what they mean for each program.
