Take everything from the Virginia Tech spring game with a giant grain of salt. Those are solid words to live by.
While the Maroon team’s 34-0 pasting of the White team on Saturday was enjoyable to watch, simply because it’s as close to a game as you’ll get in the football desert that is the offseason, it’s still just a glorified scrimmage, one of 15 practices that all of us probably shouldn’t put too much stock in.
Count head coach Brent Pry as one not getting too caught up in the day’s events.
“We’re not a good team yet, but we look closer to it. We just look better,” Pry said. “We do more things like a good team, that a good team does.”
