1) Fair catch or return kickoffs? There seemed to me that too many times VT tried to return kickoffs but got stopped short of the 20. – Lakeridgehokie

Chris Coleman: Virginia Tech probably tried to return too many kickoffs this past season. Now that the fair catch rule is in place for kickoffs, if you want to play field position, it may be wise for more teams to use that rule more often.

Chance Black: 10 returns, 18.7 avg., long of 29
Cole Beck: 8 returns, 22.3 avg., long of 40
Keshawn King: 6 returns, 16.67 avg., long of 25
Bryce Duke: 3 returns, 16.67 avg., long of 23
Total: 27 returns, 19.11 avg., long of 40
