In some ways, the flurry of interest, including scholarship offers, has come so quickly there’s been no way to keep up. But Nolensville (Tenn.) 2023 three-star wide receiver Chance Fitzgerald has done his best.

Just this week, Fitzgerald picked up eight offers, first by Virginia Tech on Tuesday, before Georgia Tech, Houston and West Virginia rounded it out this Thursday. It’s been a lot to take in, but he’s been up to the task and has a visit planned this weekend for the Hokies’ game against Miami. Still, it’s been just as much about patience as anything.

“I kind of already have a name going around, but they just wanted to see things I cleaned up on my film,” Fitzgerald said. “I feel like it’s not just on the field. Off it, I’ve become more of a leader. People are starting to see, coaches are seeing. On the field, I’ve worked on my speed and just gotten a lot faster.”
