Virginia Tech Wide Receivers: Lots Of New Faces

Last season’s top two wide receivers, Tre Turner and Tayvion Robinson, have departed Virginia Tech. A new crop of wideouts will take over, a group includes a couple of transfers and a few other names that you’re already familiar with. Overall, it’s a position that lacks experience playing football at Tech, but it will also be supplemented by players who are technically at other positions who are expected to lineup in a variety of ways.

Dallan Wright (6-1, 176, r-So.) is out for the season with an injury, which hurts a little. Jadan Blue has missed some practice time due to a slight injury, but he hasn’t been in a walking boot, and head coach Brent Pry said last Wednesday that he’s expected to be back “sooner than later.”

With a new coordinator, new position coach and a variety players, this is a group of guys who get a fresh start in my eyes. Let’s move on to some of the main questions about the wide receivers heading into 2022.
