There’s not technically a top list yet for Varina (Va.) linebacker Kaveion Keys. But this spring and even into this fall, he’s taken or will take visits to those who interest him most.

Keys has already had one official visit this month, to North Carolina, and has one this weekend at Penn State. He had to reschedule one for Virginia Tech, while Florida is also in the mix. For now, Keys said he’s going over each of his options, but internally, one might have already made more headway than the others.

“I talk to a lot of these schools every day,” Keys said. “I really cut it down, know what I like and don’t like. I’m not ready to commit, but I have a plan on what’s next and what I’ll be doing in this process. I’m looking at the end of the season, but I’m still thinking about summer, too, about committing. But I haven’t been to Virginia Tech or Florida, so I don’t want to have any regrets. I’d like to take all five visits and then commit. But I do have a place in mind I’d like to go.”
