Virginia Tech Post-Spring Thoughts: The Offense

With Virginia Tech spring practice now in the past, it’s time to take a look at several topics on each side of the ball. I had originally intended these articles to be a look at personnel at each position, but I basically did that throughout the spring. Not much has changed since those articles, and the situation won’t be clear until all transfer portal business is concluded – both outgoing and incoming. Therefore, we’ll take a little bit of a different approach with these articles this week.

We’ll start with the offense today, and I’ve got a few thoughts in my head about various topics on that side of the ball. I’ll save the running back rotation talk for later for a couple of reasons…

1: We’ve beaten that conversation to death of the last couple of years.
2: I’m going to wait for the transfer portal fallout so I know exactly which backs are still on the team.

Instead, we’ll start with a topic that you might not want to read about again, but one I think is important to the success of this particular football team.
