This spring has meant quite a few changes for Alcoa (TN) three-star offensive lineman Lance Williams. That’s been in the form of a new sport, and his football recruitment as well.

For the first time in three years, Williams is throwing shot put and discus for his school track team. Though he decided to give both events up to focus on football and wrestling, he won second place at the 2019 state track and field meet.

“Honestly, wrestling is my main offseason sport,” Williams said. “That helps me the most. But my track coach begged me for two weeks. After hearing him say, ‘please come out,’ I’m like, ‘ok, I’ll do it.’”
