Coming off a pair of unofficial visits, St. Joseph’s (Pa.) four-star linebacker Josiah Trotter still has more trips to take, but he’s also seen enough to narrow his list a bit.

Trotter, Rivals.com’s No. 13 inside linebacker for the 2023 class, visited Virginia Tech and then West Virginia the past two weekends. Now, those two are part of a top eight, along with Ohio State, Notre Dame, Clemson, South Carolina, Penn State and Texas A&M. Though he’s not ready to decide, Trotter said he’s still getting closer.

“I’m pretty far down the line, but I have somewhat of an idea,” he said. “I think after my officials, I’ll know where I want to be, as far as schools. After that, I’ll really narrow it down, at least two or three schools, and decide after that. I’ll take my visits as early as possible for sure.”
