On Wednesday, it was announced that Virginia Tech and Dayton would be meeting in a home-and-home series in men’s basketball beginning this season.  It is the latest announcement in a trend that appears to be a major effort by Mike Young to improve the Hokies’ non-conference schedule.

Virginia Tech has not made the announcement official as of yet, but the Flyers announced it on their website.  The game will take place on Sunday, December 12, 2021 in Dayton, with the return trip scheduled to be played in Blacksburg next year (the article says 2021-22, but I believe that’s a typo and it should read 2022-23).
