There is very little information about Virginia Tech’s kickers and punters this spring.  In fact, there is only one punter who is currently listed on the roster, though at least one of the kickers could potentially punt in an emergency situation.

I’ve held off on talking about special teams simply because there’s not much to talk about.  Tech probably doesn’t work on punt and kickoff returns as a unit very much in the spring, plus the personnel at punter and kicker are complete unknowns.  But I decided to go ahead and talk about it anyway, just so you’ll see that there’s just not much information to go on, and we probably won’t get a good idea of who Tech’s kicker and punter are or how good they are until that first game gets played.

We’ll touch on all of that, plus a statistical oddity, in today’s article.

Punter: The One and Only Peter Moore

Peter Moore (6-1, 196, Fr.) is the only punter listed on the spring roster for the Hokies.  He punted once this past season, replacing an injured Oscar Bradburn against UVA, and averaged 33 yards on three attempts.
