Two months ago, Johns Creek (Ga.) three-star defensive end Cole Nelson flirted with an upcoming decision. His birthday was June 24, and by then he thought he’d be ready to decide.

Nelson remains uncommitted. Now, he’s between two schools and has hinted that a decision could again be right around the horizon. But this time, he’s not pinning down a possible decision date.

“I’m looking to commit by the end of July,” Nelson said. “I’m just doing it by relationships with the colleges I’m interested in. If I’m able to connect with the coaching staff and feel myself fitting in at the school, that’s what I want.”
