There might now be a top 10 list for Archbishop Wood Catholic (Pa.) three-star defensive end Robert Jackson, but it’s tough to gauge just how much movement his recruitment has made.
Like the overwhelming majority of high school recruits, Jackson hasn’t been afforded too many visits this year. Because of that, he’s only seen two of those 10 schools in person. While those visits, along with a few virtual ones, have helped, it’s likely not enough for Jackson to go on in making an informed decision. That could further prolong any decision.
“Hopefully, I’m waiting to see if things will clear up and I can take visits, get a feel for the environment,” Jackson said. “I want to talk to coaches face to face. I need to see things in person.”
Before the Covid-19 pandemic set in, Jackson said he got in a pair of junior day visits to Rutgers and Temple. It’s safe to say he might have a better feel for those than others.
“For me, it was big just off the fact I was able to speak with coaches face-to-face and actually get a great feel for campus and environment, instead of doing it virtually,” Jackson said. “I remember with the Rutgers visit, I enjoyed the campus a lot, and just the feel for on the field and the campus.
