As many of his friends and teammates announced not only their college intentions, but also signed letters of intent yesterday for National Signing Day, Klein Oak (TX) four-star cornerback Dwight McGlothern stayed put. He spent part of the day in his normal school routine, the other part playing Madden online when he got home.

The time for McGlothern, No. 185 in the 2020 Rivals250, to decide will come soon enough. He’s already taken a pair of official visits, to Arkansas in October and last week to USC, and has at least one more to come next month. And there’s a possibility, he could announce a decision in just a few weeks.

While he doesn’t have a top list, McGlothern said he’s narrowed his focus to LSU, Oregon, USC, Virginia Tech and Texas. He’s also hopeful Ohio State will get involved in his recruitment.

“First, I look at academics, if my degree means a lot,” McGlothern said. “How will I be set up after college, after football is done? Also, when I’m going through it and stuff, I want to make sure I’m in a great place, where I’m good and set. I don’t want to feel like I need to go home or anything. I don’t care about location. I don’t get homesick or this or that.”

On Jan. 4, McGlothern will play in the annual All-American Bowl in San Antonio. He’s weighing a possible announcement then. But either way, he
