There was only one offer on the table for Dwight Morrow (NJ) 2021 safety Jalen Hoyle, but as it turns out, he didn’t need any more.
For Hoyle, there was no reason to wait. On Monday night, he gave Virginia Tech his commitment. A host of other schools have steadily shown interest, like Stanford, Wake Forest, Penn State, Notre Dame, Louisville, Syracuse and Buffalo. But Hoyle said he was ready to make his college decision known.
“The coaching staff is mainly what made me want to commit,” Hoyle said. “The coaches there are very good coaches. Me and Coach Ham (Justin Hamilton), Coach (Brian) Mitchell, Coach (Zach) Sparber (defensive grad assistant) and Coach (Justin) Fuente have a great relationship. It will be even better as time goes on. They’re just good people. The campus isn’t too big. It’s not too small and just fits perfect for my personality.”
