For over six months, Morrow (Ga.) 2020 three-star wide receiver Jimmy Calloway has had a destination picked out. In April, he committed to Tennessee. Now, though, he’s opened the door to his recruitment back open a bit.
Calloway officially visited Virginia Tech last weekend for its win over North Carolina. While he hasn’t decommitted from the Vols, he has a couple of schools working to flip his commitment.
“It’s pretty good so far (with Tennessee),” Calloway said. “I’ve been just taking visits, trying to get a feel for everyone, trying to see where’s the best place I can fit in. Right now, I guess they’re the most solid. I get along with the coaches, the players, and I like them because of their roster. They don’t really have that many people in my position.”
Calloway, Rivals.com’s No. 87 wide receiver and No. 56 player in Georgia for 2020, has been talking to the Hokies for a few months now. Virginia Tech offered in early June, though last weekend was the first time Calloway had been to Blacksburg.
