Price Williams, Jr.
ATH, Class of 2022
Woodgrove, Purcellville, VA
When he stops and thinks about it, Woodgrove (Va.) 2022 wide receiver Price Williams, Jr. still has to kind of pinch himself. He has four offers, from Virginia Tech, Virginia, Vanderbilt and Old Dominion, all of which Williams said he never dreamed he’d have by his sophomore season.
“All this is just unreal because I hoped I’d get college interest, but I never thought it would be this soon,” he said. “My first offer was after the season, in the spring, and it was Vandy. We had no warning of them coming down. When my coach came to tell me, I had no idea why he was so excited. I thought he was messing with me. I was like, ‘no way.’ But he explained everything and showed me. I called my parents and that was an amazing phone call. That’s probably the most proud my parents have been of me.”
It’s safe to say, then, that Williams is still simply in the mode of taking in his recruitment. He’s more or less just getting acquainted with the schools that have offered and others who show interest. Williams has also taken a few visits in that process, with another one this weekend, that he hopes provide more clarity.
