Knox Kadum
Quarterback, Class of 2019
Rome High School, Rome, GA
6-3, 185

Virginia Tech offered quarterback Knox Kadum very late in the process after Josh Jackson decided to transfer, though the Hokies had been monitoring him for a long time.  There are plenty of things to like about his game, though there are also some things that make him a developmental prospect.

Kadum was 6-1, 169 when he was working out at camps during the prime of his recruitment, which explains his limited offers.  However, he has filled out a bit since then, and he was listed at 6-3, 185 this past winter.  That explains the late interest from Virginia Tech and other Power 5 conference teams, including Florida State, though the Seminoles did not offer.

Knox Kadum had a distinguished high school career in Rome, GA.  As a senior, he threw 21 touchdown passes and not a single interception.  He committed to James Madison over FBS offers from schools such as Akron, Charlotte and Rutgers, but when the Hokies offered late he was very quick to visit and ultimately sign with Virginia Tech.
