Tahj Gary was offered by Virginia Tech last summer, and the Hokies appeared to be the team to beat in his recruitment nearly the entire time.  He committed to Tech on October 19, flirted with some other schools, but eventually stuck by his original commitment and signed in December.  He is one of two running backs in this class, along with Keshawn King.

Gary attended Woodward Academy in Atlanta, a private school that has produced talent across a wide variety of fields, including current MLB player Delino DeShields, Jr., NASCAR driver Reed Sorensen, several NFL players, and even Scott Budnick, who produced The Hangover.  Gary got a good education at a good school, so the adjustment to college shouldn’t be all that difficult for him.
