Next month, Cox (Va.) four-star wide receiver signee Tayvion Robinson will go under the knife. Robinson insists he’s not worried, as it will alleviate pain he’s had for some time, and hopefully make him even better on the football field.

Robinson, ranked No. 193 in the 2019 Rivals 250, will undergo surgery March 11 on his ankle. The procedure will remove bone spurs and tighten his ligaments. He’s been in steady contact with the Virginia Tech coaching and training staffs, and the response and handling by both has simply reaffirmed why Robinson committed to the Hokies in June.

“They (doctors) said if I don’t get it fixed before I leave, down the road, I won’t be able to walk,” he said. “It’s just been so damaged. It hurts when I play. I dressed out my last game, but didn’t play. Bayside was my first game back, and my ankle was still hurting.”

In that game against Bayside, Robinson still scored four touchdowns in just two quarters of action.
