This summer, Lanier (Buford, GA) 2020 four-star linebacker Phillip Webb went to a pair of recruiting camps. Aside from those, he hasn’t made much movement in his recruitment.

Still, Webb, No. 217 in the 2020 Rivals250, has been in demand. Virginia Tech is the most recent to join in, when their offer Wednesday gave him 16 in total. Webb admits he’s more familiar with one school than the others, but he still has plenty of work he wants to put in before he gets too serious in his recruitment.

“I look for what the school can provide for me academically,” he said. “Then, the football success in the past and recently. I don’t really care about location. I just want a place I fit well into. Defense style doesn’t matter too much.”
