We’re right in the middle of the evaluation period, and the Virginia Tech coaching staff has been busy watching film of 2019, 2020, and 2021 prospects.  They have also been out on the road evaluating potential recruits in person.

A number of scholarship offers have gone out over the last week, especially to players from Georgia and Florida.  These prospects have all been added to the recruiting database on TSL.  This article will bring you up to date on the new names.

2019 Prospects

We’ve seen the Hokies offer a number of new defensive tackle prospects, as well as some running backs.  Defensive tackle has always been a priority in this class, and now that Devyn Ford is apparently heading to Penn State, Tech needs to find another running back as well.

Let’s take a look at some of the recent offers the Hokies have made to 2019 prospects.

RB Tahj Gary, Woodward Academy, Atlanta, GA

Gary is a 5-9, 205 running back from Atlanta.  He is one of several Atlanta-area players to receiver a Virginia Tech offer over the last week or so.

While he doesn’t have Devyn Ford’s offer list, Gary’s shouldn’t be ignored.  It includes Pitt, West Virginia, UNC, South Carolina, NC State, Minnesota, Kentucky, Iowa, Georgia Tech
