Two weeks ago, Dorman (SC) three-star wide receiver Jacoby Pinckney took full advantage of a week off from school. During his spring break, Pinckney made trips to Oklahoma, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Georgia.
After that round of visits, Pinckney is getting closer to taking the next step in his recruitment. He’s not revealing too many details, but a decision might not be that far away.
“I mean, I have a group of schools in my head, but I’m not disclosing that yet,” Pinckney said. “They all have opportunity and potential.”
Pinckney, Rivals.com’s No. 7 player in South Carolina, now has 16 offers, following his latest two weeks ago from Michigan. His recruiting approach has changed a bit, but if anything, it’s more refined.
“Now, I’d say it’s more (about) relationships and opportunities,” Pinckney said. “Those are the main factors. I still want to go somewhere I feel comfortable. But if I have a good relationship, I’ll usually feel comfortable.”
