Two More Visits For 2020 Running Back

This spring, St. Vincent Pallotti (Md.) 2020 running back Blake Corum added offer No. 15, from Syracuse. He’s also used this spring to get a better idea of his options, too.

Last week, Corum (5-9, 180) saw two of the schools that have offered when he visited Virginia Tech and Michigan State. Each provided more clarity, though any decision is likely still fairly far off.

What hasn’t changed is that Corum still has the same list of priorities in what he hopes to find in his next home.

“The major thing I look at is if I’m going to be able to play right away or will I sit behind someone and watch?” he said. “I want to play right away. I’m looking somewhere that doesn’t have too many running backs already. All I need is a chance to prove myself. Then, the coaches, the school atmosphere, things like that.”

Last Friday, Corum made his second trip to Blacksburg. His first visit came last fall, when he saw the Hokies’ win over Pittsburgh.

“This visit, I just got to sit in on the running backs meeting and I sat in on spring practice,” Corum said. “I just went for meetings and practice. Virginia Tech, that’s home, along with UVA. But VT, it’s home. I love it there. Coach (Justin) Fuente and Coach (Holmon) Wiggins, all the coaches, they’re good. I know some of the players on the team, so that’s cool. It’s just a good feeling when I go to Virginia Tech.”
