Class of 2019 linebacker Drake Thomas might have a teammate heading to one of his potential college choices, but it’s far too early to count out his other suitors.

Thomas, a rising senior at Heritage High School in Wake Forest, N.C., holds 16 scholarship offers, most recently from Michigan State and Georgia Tech. The 6-foot-1, 225-pound prospect made a few visits during the season that helped him feel things out, and he has visits coming that could make things even clearer. Still, a decision is not imminent.

“I mean, right now, I’m kind of not looking at specific details yet,” Thomas said. “That’s something I’ll get into this spring, especially with the academics. I already know most of the coaches and the facilities. I’ll look at specifics in the spring.

“There’s a few schools, but no school that’s recruiting me the most. For the main part, there’s not really anyone standing out.”
