A top six is still in place for one of the most sought-after offensive linemen in the country. And while he’s seen all of them in person, he still might be a bit further away from a decision.
North Point (Md.) four-star tackle Rasheed Walker maintains the same top list he’s had for the past few months. His top schools are Virginia Tech, Penn State, Ohio State, Maryland, North Carolina and Rutgers. Of his top group, Virginia Tech is one of two schools he’s recently visited, having taken part Saturday in the Hokies’ Blacksburg Bash barbecue.
Official visits could be in line for Walker, which would push back any decision. For now, Walker’s not in a hurry to make to commit.
“I guess I just have to have that feeling,” Walker said. “I’ll wake up out of bed one day saying, ‘I’m going to go to a school.’ Every time I go to a different school, that’s my favorite school at the time.”
Walker, No. 93 in the Rivals100 and Rivals.com’s No. 7 offensive tackle in the country, said he’s now been to Virginia Tech three or four times. He last visited for a practice this spring, though his most recent stop had a different vibe.
