Nearly every weekend the past few months, Woodson (DC) three-star cornerback Noah Boykin has been on the road. This past weekend, he followed suit again when he made his first trip to Virginia Tech.

In previous weeks, Boykin,’s No. 37 cornerback and No. 5 player in Washington, DC, visited North Carolina, NC State, Maryland, Clemson and Virginia. But with offers still rolling in, he’s not to a point where he’s ready to make any changes to his options. Illinois offered yesterday, bringing his total to 26. Others to offer recently include Clemson, Missouri and Louisville.

For now, Boykin has an open mind, as he continues to take visits and wait on more offers.

“I’ve been trying to narrow it down, so I haven’t really been keeping count,” he said. “I’m trying to get these offers going down to a good number going into my senior season. I don’t wanna have all that on my mind. I only get to choose one college.”

The Hokies made a strong case for Boykin on Saturday. He made the trip with three-star teammates Edward Hendrix and Juan Wallace. Boykin said one aspect in particular resonated with him from the start.

“The first feeling, everybody knowing your name, that’s the first thing that wows you,” he said. “I was really welcomed. I watched them practice, saw the talent, where I fit in. Basically, it’s a good experience, especially at DBU. They have a good tradition at defensive back. It was definitely a good experience, big time there.”

Assistant coaches Holmon Wiggins and Brian Mitchell have been Boykin’s primary contacts. And Boykin reconnected more in-depth
