
Six schools remain in contention for Fairmont (W.Va.) four-star defensive end Dante Stills. He still hasn’t visited all of those schools, however.
Stills, No. 189 in the Rivals250, announced a top six Sunday of Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Penn State, North Carolina and Louisville. He’s been to four of those schools, though the other two might be getting visits soon. A decision is likely coming within the next few months.
What Stills looks for in his next potential home, though, has not changed.
“Like, the coaching staff, I don’t wanna feel awkward around them and where I can’t be myself,” he said. “Then, if I feel like I can live there for four years and not feel too far, too close and not get tired of it. I don’t wanna feel like I’m bored there and I’m not supposed to be there.”
Stills has been to Virginia Tech on a couple of occasions, most recently in January for the Hokies’ junior day. But Stills’ feelings also were affected when Virginia Tech came to him.
“They showed me a lot of love,” he said. “It’s ridiculous. The only love a coach can give you is an offer, but they showed me tons of love and they want me to come around a lot. That’s the only other school I’ve seen that came to see me during basketball. That’s love, I respect that. So, I like that.”
