Dax Hollifield Gives His Bristol Experience, Lists Virginia Tech in Tentative Top Five

Dax Hollifield is one of Virginia Tech’s top targets for the Class of 2018.

Virginia Tech might’ve lost the Battle at Bristol, but the stage and spectacle definitely impressed one of their top targets in the Class of 2018.

Dax Hollifield, four-star linebacker from Shelby, NC., attended the game along with Virginia Tech commit Caleb Farley.

“It was insane,” Hollifield said. “There was people everywhere.”

Hollifield compared the Battle at Bristol to going to a larger version of a state fair.

“It was unlike anything I had ever seen,” Hollifield said. “I just loved it. I thought the game was good until Virginia Tech fumbled that one at the five yard line. That killed momentum.”

On the field, Hollifield is having a solid season. His Shelby High School Golden Lions are 4-0 as of now and are ranked No. 6 in the state.

“I think we’re the second best team
